What was meant to be a relaxing day on the water for Kelly Rowland and her pals quickly turned into a scary event she likely won't forget.
On Friday (July 19), the former Destiny's Child star chartered a boat off the shore of Provincetown, Mass. for an afternoon of whale watching.
However, according to the Wicked Local news site, the nice weather quickly changed to a nasty scene, causing Rowland and her friends to call the Coast Guard for rescue.
Kelly's boat reportedly became "disoriented in the gusty winds and high seas along with the haze which lowered visibility," causing the CG to bring out a towboat to pull them back ashore.
Luckily, for the songstress and the five others aboard, all were reportedly unharmed and okay once safely back on land.
