The rumours keep getting louder and assumptions turning into reality, there are strong indications that Wande Coal is parting ways with his current record label Mavin Records.

Sources close to the talented singer tell NET that Wande wants to be in total control of his music career and will be releasing his long awaited second album under his own imprint.

In a recent interview, Nollywood actress Uche Jombo while speaking on her new movie “unconditional” – which focuses on how men cheat in relationships – stated that she will kindly castrate her husband if he cheats on her.

I will castrate him, he knows and believes that. Because you are an under-achiever does not mean I should play down on my achievement. If age is the yard stick for you to succeed, you should not judge people with it, I don’t have an apology. Luiz not a target for Bayern

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola has rejected claims he was about to make a bid for Chelsea defender David Luiz.

Speculation was rife after Bayern's 4-2 German Super Cup final defeat by Borussia Dortmund that Guardiola was in the market for another centre-back, with Luiz's name top of his list.

But Guardiola, speaking at a presentation before the Audi Cup in Munich, said he was happy with his defensive options.

Bayern have the option of dropping holding midfielder Javi Martinez back now that Thiago Alcantara has arrived to fill a similar role to the one he had last season.

"He's not coming to Munich," he said. "We've got four or five central defenders.

"There is no truth to the speculation."

Marlon King held over crash

Birmingham striker Marlon King has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident which left a man with a head injury.

The Birmingham City striker was held on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision following the crash in central London in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Bishops Bridge Road at the junction with Eastbourne Terrace, Paddington, following reports that a car had hit a pedestrian.

A man in his late 40s was taken to a central London hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

King, 33, was arrested by City of London Police officers and has been released on police bail to a date in mid-September.

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "A 33-year-old man was arrested by officers from City of London Police on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision and taken to a central London police station.

"He has been bailed to mid-September pending further inquiries. Detectives from Westminster are investigating."

A spokesman for Birmingham City said the club was aware of the incident.

King, whose previous clubs include Watford, Middlesbrough and Coventry City, is reportedly available on a free transfer and in talks with other Championship clubs about a possible move.

Soldado remains tight-lipped

Valencia forward Roberto Soldado is remaining tight-lipped about his possible move to Tottenham Hotspur.

The London side have made the 28-year-old forward one of their top transfer targets this summer and are believed to be in negotiations with the Spanish team at the moment.

Valencia are believed to want the full £26m needed to trigger a release clause in the contract of Soldado, who netted 30 goals in 46 appearances last season.

And Spurs are believed to be confident of landing the Spanish international but the player himself is refusing to comment on the prospective move.

"I do not know what is going on at the moment," he said. "At the moment, I cannot say anything.

"We will wait to see what happens. When the right time comes, I will speak, as I always have done."

Spurs have already signed Brazilian midfielder Paulinho and Belgian winger Nacer Chadli this summer and will be hoping to make Soldado their third acquisition.

Report: Real make £85m Bale bid

Real Madrid have made a world record bid of over £85m to Spurs for Gareth Bale, according to reports.

The bid has been on the table for over a week and Bale is aware of it and is becoming more frustrated with the situation.

The bid does not include any Real Madrid players moving to Spurs as part of a package.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is understood to be currently in Miami and his and the club's stance - that the Wales international is not for sale - has not changed.

Bale has so far kept his feelings to himself, making no public declaration about what he wants to happen next.

Tottenham and Bale are back from the Asia Trophy and will resume training on Wednesday.

Oprah Winfrey Network finally making money for Discovery

(Reuters) - The Oprah Winfrey Network is making money four years after its debut, as stronger ratings and advertising growth helped turn around the joint venture with Discovery Communications Inc sooner than expected.

The news was a bright spot for Discovery, which has invested more than $500 million in OWN, as it posted weaker-than-expected second-quarter results and cut its earnings forecast on Tuesday.

The media company's stock fell 4.3 percent to $80.74 on Nasdaq at mid-afternoon.

Discovery Chief Executive David Zaslav said OWN, which it formed with talk-show host Oprah Winfrey, benefited from two popular new series by producer Tyler Perry, "The Have and Have Nots" and "Love Thy Neighbor."

"OWN is now cash flow positive and starting to pay down the investment Discovery has made in the venture," Zaslav said.

The network, which replaced Discovery's Health channel in January 2011, had expected cash flow to break even in the second half of the year.

Lazard Capital Markets Barton Crockett said it was encouraging that one of Discovery's biggest bets was paying off.

"We knew that OWN was working because ratings have been great. The fact that it is bouncing back into positive isn't a huge surprise," he said.

Winfrey, known as the "queen of talk," had admitted in a TV interview to making "101 mistakes" when launching the network. The mix of in-depth interviews with celebrities and feel-good programs did not initially translate to the ratings success Winfrey had seen on broadcast TV for years.

Under President Erik Logan, OWN has since gone through layoffs, executive departures and a reshuffling of its programming lineup to add more scripted shows. It also has been selling some of Oprah's talk shows overseas, including to the United Kingdom.

On Tuesday, Zaslav said it had signed on 30 new ad partners and had the "highest growth of any cable network in the second quarter." Viewership by OWN's target demographic of the 25-54 age group grew 39 percent in the second quarter, the company said.

EPS MISS

Discovery said it now expects 2013 revenue of $5.55 billion to $5.63 billion, below its previous forecast for $5.58 billion to $5.70 billion. The company blamed unfavorable currency fluctuations and costs from its $1.7 billion acquisition of Scandinavian media company SBS in December.

Zaslav brushed off concerns that the merger of big ad companies Publicis and Omnicom would pressure Discovery's advertising rates. He said the deal was "probably a good thing" for the company.

"As long as we continue to grow our audience, we're going to find very receptive buyers," he said.

Net income rose to $300 million, or 82 cents per share, from $293 million or 77 cents per share, in the year-ago quarter.

Excluding special items for licensing agreements and foreign currency fluctuations, earnings per share of 83 cents missed the analysts' average estimate by 7 cents according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

Crockett, the Lazard Capital Markets analyst, said Wall Street was not expecting the charge related to the SBS acquisition and noted that it helped explain why Discovery missed EPS estimates.

Gabelli & Co analyst Brett Harriss said he was expecting improved profitability at Discovery's U.S. networks, where advertising was up 10 percent, but noted the company's higher-than-expected operating expenses.

"U.S. advertising was great, but programming and marketing costs were up," Harriss said.

Discovery said operating expenses rose 17 percent at its U.S. unit, which it said offset revenue growth at that division.

Total revenue rose 30 percent to $1.47 billion. Analysts had expected $1.48 billion.

Italy coach crash: At least 38 dead near Avellino

The BBC's Alan Johnston says the coach "ripped through the guard-rail" when it plunged off the flyove

A coach has plunged off a flyover in southern Italy leaving at least 38 people dead in the country's worst road accident for decades.

The coach hit several vehicles before smashing through a barrier and toppling down a steep slope near the town of Avellino, in the Campania region.

At least 10 people were injured, some of them seriously.

The coach was taking about 50 people, including children, back to Naples following a pilgrimage.

The cause of the accident is not yet known. Some reports say the vehicle was travelling at speed.

The head of the local fire brigade division, Alessio Barbarulo, said barriers on bridges would normally prevent such accidents but "evidently it seems the impact was so strong that even the barrier gave way".

A survivor said the driver, who was among the dead, appeared to have lost control of the bus, possibly after a tyre punctured.



Transport Minister Maurizio Lupi said the vehicle had passed its annual inspection in March, and there was no indication of technical problems.

Tests are being carried out on the driver's body as part of the investigation into what caused the accident.

TV footage showed smashed vehicles on the flyover and shrouded bodies lined up by the side of a road.

The Naples-Bari motorway was closed to traffic because of the accident.

The bus dropped 30m (98ft), coming to rest in heavy undergrowth after smashing through the guard-rail.

The final number of victims remains unclear, with local officials saying 38 died while the transport ministry in Rome spoke of 39.

The injured were taken to hospitals in Avellino, Salerno and Nola, Ansa news agency said.

They include the occupants the six cars caught up in the collision. Six of those hurt are children.

Those on board had been visiting visiting the town of Telese Terme, known for its hot springs, and the nearby birthplace of Padre Pio, one of Italy's most popular saints.

On a visit to Greece, Italian Prime Minister Enrico Letta said the accident was "a huge tragedy".

Exactly 10 years ago, another accident on the same stretch of motorway claimed six lives and injured 11 other people.

Brad Pitt has splashed out on a private jet for Angelina Jolie to make sure the couple see each other while he is shooting World War II movie ‘Fury’ in London.

The ‘Killing Them Softly‘ actor has splashed out on the aircraft for his fiancee – who has held a pilot’s licence since 2004 – to enable the couple to see each other more as he is currently shooting World War II movie ‘Fury‘ in London, while the brunette beauty is directing war film ‘Unbroken’ in Hawaii.

A source told heat magazine: ‘Brad wanted to gift Angelina with a jet for trips between the set of ‘Fury’ in London and her set of ‘Unbroken’.’He told her that she can choose the plane and he will pay, that way, they can fly back and forth to see each other, and Angelina’s always wanted to fly a jet across the ocean anyway.’

The 38-year-old actress – who raises six children, Maddox, 11, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, six, and four-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne, with Brad – was inspired by the couple’s eldest son to take up flying because she wanted him to think of her as a superhero.

She previously said: ‘Every time Mad sees a plane, he’s amazed. ‘If I could actually fly a plane … I’ll be like Superman to him.’

Music video director, Aswad Ayinde, gets 90 years in jail for impregnating his own daughters

Award-winning music director Aswad Ayinde, 55, has been sentenced to 90 years in prison after being found guilty of repeatedly raping his six daughters, resulting in them having six kids for him.

Mr. Ayinde was found guilty in a second trial of having intercourse with one of his daughters when she was as young as eight-years-old.

This second sentence, for which he got 50 years, adds to the 40 year sentence Mr Ayinde received in a 2011 trial for sexually assaulting a separate daughter.

Mr. Ayinde is known for directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 smash hit ‘Killing Me Softly.’

In disturbing disclosures during his trials, Mr. Ayinde’s former wife said he was trying to create a ‘pure family bloodline’ by impregnating his daughters.

He even claimed that ‘the world was going to end, and it was just going to be him and his offspring and that he was chosen.’

In this latest trial, it was revealed that Mr. Ayinde began having intercourse with his second daughter from the time she was eight-years-old, impregnating her four times.

The sexual assaults happened for almost 30 years until Mr. Ayinde and his wife separated.

They occurred in numerous homes across northern New Jersey, even while the family was under watch of state child welfare officials, according to NBC New York.

Some of the rapes even took place in an abandoned funeral home.

Ayinde’s tortured daughters were home schooled and isolated from other children, so as to keep the family secrets hidden.

The depraved father also beat and starved the girls using wooden boards and steel-toed boots for even ‘minor transgressions’

Mr. Ayinde also fathered 12 additional children with an additional three women, according to court records.

With his wife too afraid to confront him, Mr. Ayinde carried out his evil plan without hindrance even while directing the music video for the Fugees 1996 breakout hit ‘Killing Me Softly, for which he won  ‘Best R&B Video’ at the 1996 MTV Music Video Awards. The Fugees are also originally from Northern New Jersey.

Mr. Ayinde faces three more trials over the alleged assaults.

D’banj dotes on his sister as she marries her boo (photos)

Wow, there is nothing as wonderful as having your favourite sibling stand by you when you need them most!

D’banj proved that by being there for his younger sister on her wedding day, as a matter of fact, unconfirmed reports claim that he actually shed tears during the wedding – aww!

The lovebirds – D’banj’s younger sister, Taiwo Oyebanjo and Cool fm’s Dotun Ojuolape Kayode – tied the knot on the 27th July, 2013.

The traditional wedding ceremony held at the Oyebanjo’s hometown – Shagamu, Ogun State at the Remo Majestic Hotel.

The ceremony was attended by the couple’s family, friends, fans and well-wishers, some of which include Cool FM OAP N6, Juliet Ibrahim Sean Tizzle, D-Tunes, Vector and the bride’s siblings, Kay Switch and D’Banj. The couple is slated to have their white wedding ceremony on 3rd August, 2013.

Maldives, officially known as Republic of the Maldives also referred to as the Maldive Islands, is an island nation in the Indian Ocean.

We’re pretty sure they didn’t go alone because Elohor Aisien‘s ‘little captain’ came through to; which begs the question – Owen & Tee Billz, where are you? Oh by the way Owen is Teebillz’ cute son.
