Beyoncé And Jay Z Attend Justice For Trayvon Rally

Stepping out in response to the controversial decision in the George Zimmerman case, Beyonce and Jay-Z attended a Justice for Trayvon rally in New York City on Saturday (July 20).

Along with the late teenager's mother Sybrina Fulton and the Reverend Al Sharpton, the pair took part in one of a hundred planned rallies organized by Sharpton's National Action Network.

Taking a strong stand, Queen Bey encouraged action on her website, posting, "We are still struggling with the issue of inequality and the lack of value for a black man’s life. Trayvon Martin’s most basic civil right, the right to live, was violated. We have made so much progress and cannot allow hatred and racism to divide us. When we all join together, people of all races, we have the power to change the world we live in."

On the night Zimmerman was acquitted, the 31-year-old songstress held a moment of silence to honor the slain teenager.
