Katy Perry Settles Ghd Lawsuit

Finally wrapping up a multi-million dollar headache, Katy Perry and Jemella Group called off their lawsuit on Saturday (July 6), according to a report by TMZ.

The “Firework” songstress had been the face of the styling tool giant’s ghd line, posing for ad campaigns, including a Snow White-themed spread that received much attention.

In dispute was Ms. Perry’s contract, which her team claims had been renewed, while the English company said they’d decided to drop the star.

As the face of the brand, Katy would have been entitled to $2 million. Though no new comment has been made on the case by either side, a rep for the singer previously said, “Jemella's attempt to embarrass Ms. Perry by including defamatory statements about her in a public filing is shameful.”

She continued, “They're backing out of the deal because of an ownership change, and just throwing shade to hide their bad faith.”
